Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born on the 23rd of March, 1976 is an American actress. She is most well-known for her performances in the films Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). She played Julia Meade, the main character in Mission: Impossible's action spy series Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) was recognized. Monaghan also starred in True Detective's debut season (2014) in the first season of True Detective as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the role as Sarah Lane. Monaghan played the role of Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob and John are her two elder brothers. Monaghan is of Irish and German descent, was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. She moved to Chicago after graduating to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she began modeling. She has modelled in Milan and Tokyo, Tokyo, Hong Kong and the United States. In 1999, she had one semester left to finish her journalism degree. She then moved to New York to pursue an acting career. She became a model and was featured in various catalogs and magazines prior to making her acting debut. Her first TV credits, both as a supporting character, were on episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Her second appearance on television was on Law & Order: Special Victims United in "Consent" which aired on January 19, 2001. In addition, she made her screen debut in Perfume the following year, playing Henrietta. She was again a supporting actress in Unfaithful in 2002.
