Paula Faris

Paula Faris is an American journalist who was previously a television correspondent for ABC News. She is known for her tenure as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 until 2018 and also in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. In the past, she anchors World News Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the lack of TV opportunities the company employed her in sales for radio. She was recruited as a WKEF/WRGT production assistant and then became a anchor and reporter. From 2002 until 2005 she was the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports anchor at the WCPO-TV station in Cincinnati. She was hired as a sports journalist for the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV between November 2005 and December 2011, when her contract ended. In December 2011 it was revealed that she had been hired by the news division of ABC, ABC News. The 2nd of January, 2012, she debuted on ABC News' World News Now and America This Morning. She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill-in program, Good Morning America, from January 2, 2012. In the future, she was promoted to a New York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. She hosted America This Morning and World News Now's final program on January 22 2013. After Bianna Golodryga left for Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend was scheduled for August 9, 2014. News. On August 25, 2015, ABC announced she would join The View as a co-host for season 19. On August 3 that year it was announced she was renewed on her contract for its twentieth season. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as co-host. Her most popular appearance was in the 22nd and 21st seasons of the series.
