Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef featuring her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can learn. Chef Burrell has worked in top New York restaurants and studied Italian cooking traditions as well as the landscape. In addition, she appeared on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she finished with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment as a student The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was difficult to master enough and I could not perform enough or work hard enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian style of living and the culture and it has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. Additionally, she has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children who are struggling. as a speaker, guest and coach, she travels throughout the US to talk about her love for cooking and career. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity be able to share the passion I have for life with people.
